On 07.07.2020, the General Meeting of the AIM took place, in Baia Mare, with strict compliance with the rules to prevent the spread of infection with the new coronavirus.
The event was attended by 38 of the 65 members of the Association
During the meeting, the schedule of activities that the organization will carry out once the restrictions are lifted was approved (adjusted, of course, to the new socio-economic context). Thus, most of the projects interrupted due to the pandemic will be resumed, the association's members being convinced that joint action, the realization, and management of individual and collective investments are the key to survival and economic relaunch.
We were also honored with the virtual presence of special guests who, in addition to expressing their regret that they could not be physically present at the event, gave our members both messages of encouragement and advice on what business people should do in this period:
Acad. Prof. Univ. Dr. Ioan Aurel-Pop - President of the Romanian Academy:
"I take this opportunity to assure you of my good feelings, of the appreciation I have for those who, in a competitive and entrepreneurial spirit, take this country forward. In the future I hope we will have the opportunity to talk about our traditions in this field, with testimonies of the past that will be mobilizing for the future, to encourage us to carry on what our forefathers started and what you do so well in the corner the distant one of our Romanian country. I wish you every success!”
Dragoș Anastasiu - President of the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce:
"I hope that you have passed well through this troubled period that we are forced to go through and that you have got down to work. I hope that we have each learned our lessons from this pandemic and that we move forward confident that we can overcome these more difficult times.
What we can surround ourselves with creative people, people with initiative, people who don't sit on their hands and wait for something to happen, for the Government or I don't know who what, but those who say <>. Even though I operate in a highly hit industry, I am optimistic, because we have a potential that we had not even reached before, and now we can prove with a lot of work and creativity that we will be able to overcome this challenge. Every crisis also has opportunities, so I wish you not to sit around complaining, but to get down to business with ambition and power of innovation, and in this way let's meet again in a year, with a smile on our faces, saying: << It was hard, but I came out fine>>. I wish you success!"
Cristian Boldișteanu – Business Coach:
"In the context of the current crisis, I think it's more important to be able to adapt, find solutions and unblock ourselves. Both as entrepreneurs and as organizations or teams.”
So, as expected, most of the discussions centered around promoting ideas, solutions and best practices, etc. regarding support methods for member companies whose economic and financial situations are negatively affected by the pandemic crisis, the conclusions being that the challenges of the next period can only be overcome through creativity, a lot of work and close collaboration between business partners.
