The conference room of the Millennium III Business Center in Baia Mare hosted on Thursday, June 14, 2018, an event launching a non-profit organization, whose purpose is to support the economic and social development of Maramureș county, is shown in a press release from the County Council.
The Association of Maramureș Entrepreneurs (AIM) is made up of 61 companies with Romanian integral capital, based in Maramureș, and its president is Ovidiu Goga. AIM militates for the development of the local capital, the expansion of the local macro and micro-investments, but also from other areas, ensuring an efficient representation of the interests of its members.
The launch event was attended by the Minister of Public Finance, Eugen Orlando Teodorovici, of the President of the National Union of the Romanian Patronage, Ioan Lucian.
Along with the founding members of the Association of Maramureș Entrepreneurs, representatives of the companies - potential members of the organization, representatives of the educational environment, local public authorities and county public institutions, as well as representatives of the media - also participated.
Together with a group of businessmen, we discussed the possibility of setting up a business organization in Maramures, having meetings with the local authorities on this issue. What is happening today, in Baia Mare, is a fundamental pillar in the development of the county economy. Don't expect to see results from tomorrow, but you certainly won't be alone in solving the problems you face. Starting tomorrow, the local authorities with which any employer organization of the business environment interacts will treat you as partners without whom this county cannot exist economically. The prefecture, the County Council or the town halls must know that they have a dynamic, real partner and with a constructive attitude towards everything that is important in this country. Of all the organizations we have encountered so far, the employers' organization in Maramureș has the most brilliant start", confirmed the president of the National Union of the Romanian Employers, Ioan Lucian.
The Minister of Public Finance, Eugen Orlando Teodorovici, presented the measures taken this year and how they are trying to create a framework for investing in both the private and public sectors. He also stated that the current legislation requires a review on both counts and in particular on the tax evasion side.
"I want to review part of the legislation together. There have been many changes and legislative provisions. We will take article by article both codes, and if there is something to be simplified, eliminated or added, we will see them together, in the broadest possible framework of discussions, with the associative structures and the parliamentary finance committees. Our wish is that, at the end of the year, we can close the discussion of the two codes. From January 1, 2019, we do not want to intervene on their side. Mandatory, a radical reform will take place this year," said Eugen Orlando Teodorovici.
At the conclusion of the event, the accession of the Association of Maramureș Entrepreneurs to the National Union of the Romanian Patronage and the collaboration protocol with the North Baia Mare University Center of the Technical University of Cluj -Napoca were signed.
